FMS Production Theatre proudly presents our UIL show "Cinderella Waltz” on Monday February 11th at 6pm. We will start the evening with some fun Valentine’s Day themed scenes.
Cinderella Waltz tells the story of Rosey Snow, who is trapped in a fairy tale world that is by turn funny and also a little frightening. This play investigates the origins of the world’s most popular fairy tale. Purchase your tickets now from Mrs. King - adult tickets are $5 and student tickets are $3.
Hope you will join us for the show!
Are you a 7th grade student interested in cheerleading next year? Yes, it's already time to start thinking about the 2019/2020 school year. Do you like to dance, jump, smile, laugh and have fun? Are you a good leader and have a positive attitude? If so, FMS Cheer is the place for you! Please stop by Mrs Rose's room, Room 418, or Mrs Rabjohn's room, Room 103, and pick up a cheer packet as soon as possible. All packets are due back no later than February 5th. All forms must be signed and completely filled out in order to participate. Hope to see you soon! Go Falcons!
Did you know that Heart Disease is the Number 1 killer of women in America? Forestwood is joining forces with the American Heart Association to the word out and help women live long and healthy lives. It's called Go Red For Women. As Falcons we'll show our support by wearing RED this Friday, February 1st. Consider wearing RED shirtgs, pants and shoes. We'll be taking pictures of people wearing red this day, so we can post about our support on social media.
One other way to support the effort is to donate to the American Heart Association. For only $5 you can purchase a Go RED For Women Dress Pin from Nurse DeGiulio. Wear it yourself or give it to a special woman: your mom, grandmother or aunt. Don't forget, GO RED FOR WOMEN.
Listen up Falcons - would you like to brighten up someone's Valentine's Day? Well, Student Council will be selling Candy Grams next week before school in the cafeteria. You can buy one candy gram for 50 cents or 12 for $5. Make sure to know the ELA teacher of the person who you are surprising. Pay it forward too - buy a candygram for someone outside of your circle of friends. #CharacterStrong
Hey y'all - the Flower Mound Rosettes are holding a Winter Dance camp this Saturday, February 2nd, from 9 am to noon in the FMHS cafeteria. Cost is $30 per dancer, and you can register online at FMHSROSETTES.com. More information can be found on a flyer at the front office.
Hey Forestwood! Would you like to help save the Gorillas? Coltan is a mineral found in phones and other small electronics. It is mined from areas where endangered gorillas live. Recycling old mobile phones helps reduce the demand for coltan, and helps protect gorilla habitats in Africa.
We'll be collecting old phones throughout the month of February to help with this cause. There will be boxes in the foyer for your donations.
Join NJHS and partner with the Dallas Zoo to answer the call to help save gorillas in the wild.
