Friday, Oct. 8 Information-Please Read

Greetings Dragon Nation Families,

I wanted to share some important information about tomorrow, as well as, sharing some thoughts about the 1st nine weeks.

First, tomorrow, October 8th we will be having a fun Friday to celebrate the end of the 1st nine weeks. Students will be with their Dragon Den Advisory class tomorrow and will be going through 3 rotations.

1. Dragon Den goal setting and reflection.
2. Virtual Pep Rally with their grade level in Cafeteria and some game time (board games or card games). Students are encouraged to bring board or card games with them if they would like.
3. A field day-We have several games set up for them to play and participate in outside.  Camp Gladiator is bringing an obstacle course and we will have 9 square and other activities.  Students will need a non-glass water bottle for tomorrow to refill- water jugs will be available outside for field day.

Students will be able to get a brown bag lunch tomorrow for lunch.

Students who are missing assignments may be sent to a classroom to complete that work in order for grades to be completed.

Tomorrow is an early release from school at 1:00. There are no after-school activities. All teachers and staff will have Professional Development after school.

Saturday School will be available for any students who are missing assignments or need to complete work. Saturday School is from 9:00-12:00 in the Cafeteria.

It has been a great start to the year. We have several students that are working extremely hard and I have seen some great engagement in the classroom. I have seen some quality work and projects completed by our students as well as heard great academic discussions going on within the classrooms. One area I would like to see improve is our missing assignments. We will be working to get more work turned in on time for the 2nd nine weeks. Please make sure you respond if a teacher makes contact with you concerning your student.

Thank you so much for working with us to help your child be successful.
