Lewisville ISD allows families to request enrollment at a school other than the one zoned for their address during specific time frames throughout the school year. The Early Fall Transfer Window for the 2022-2023 school year is now open. School-to-school transfers are not allowed during the current school year. 

During this early window, requests may only be made by current LISD students in grades K-11. If you have students in these grades, the transfer request form will be available in your Skyward Family Access account now through Dec. 3 under “Online Forms”. The Early Fall Transfer Window is the best time to make a request for next year while we have the greatest flexibility with space at campuses and ensures access to 2022-2023 course registration materials in the spring for middle and high school students.

Who should submit a transfer request?
Transfers are OPTIONAL and only necessary for students to attend a different school than the one zoned for their address. If you are not sure what schools are zoned for your address, access our school locator.

What if my child already has a transfer?
If your child is currently attending their current school on an out-of-district transfer, meaning you live outside the boundaries of LISD, you must request a transfer each school year.

If your child is attending their current school on an in-district transfer, meaning you live within the boundaries of LISD, you do NOT need to submit a new request for continued attendance at that school and in the transfer feeder pattern. In-district students on a transfer will automatically move to the next feeder school at the transition grades. If you wish to transfer to a different school/feeder pattern for next year, a transfer request must be submitted during an open transfer window. If you wish to cancel your transfer and return to your zoned school/feeder pattern for the next school year, contact us at (469) 713-5206.

Additional transfer windows for the 2022-2023 school year:

• Early Fall (Nov. 15 - Dec. 3): Current LISD students in grades K-11
• Kindergarten Priority (Jan. 25 - Feb. 11): Any student entering kindergarten in 2022-2023
• Priority approval for siblings and employees working at the requested campus
• All other requests processed in the order received
• General Spring (Jan. 25 - Feb. 18): Any current or new LISD student who will be in grades K-12 for the 2022-2023 school year

Programs of Choice
LISD offers several programs of choice including the LISD STEM Academy, The Collegiate Academy at The Colony High School, the pre-k Discovery Academy, World Language programs, and more. Acceptance into these programs is considered through a separate application process and should NOT be requested through the transfer form.
