Rabab Ali and Ayaan Nayak were crowned the 2021-22 LISD Spelling Bee Champions last week. Both students are eighth graders in LISD with Ali attending Killian Middle School and Nayak attending Downing Middle School.

The virtual spelling bee was held on Tuesday, January 18 with the winning word being ‘onerous’. Ali and Nayak will move on to the next level of spelling bee competition and represent LISD in the Denton County Spelling Bee on February 3.
