Creek Valley Remote Learning | Feb. 8 Update
[Feb. 8 Update]
Dear Creek Valley Families,
After evaluating staffing needs, Lewisville ISD and Creek Valley administrators have made the decision to extend remote learning through the end of the week.
Due to the limited availability of staff and substitute teachers to provide instruction, as well as rising case numbers, the district believes this is the best decision for the health and well-being of students and staff.
In-person, on-campus learning will resume Tuesday, Feb. 16. As a reminder, Monday, Feb. 15 is a student and staff holiday.
Note: if your student is currently quarantined, they will remain on their scheduled timeline for return and are to remain off campus until their quarantine period is complete.
Dear Creek Valley Families,
Earlier today, Lewisville ISD administration made the difficult decision to temporarily transition Creek Valley to remote learning for the remainder of the week. Creek Valley is currently experiencing an increasing number of positive COVID-19 cases and quarantined staff and students. With these rising numbers and the limited availability of substitute teachers to provide instruction, LISD and Creek Valley administrators believe this is the best decision.
The well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority, and while we know this decision will create some strains for families, this temporary shift to remote learning will help keep students and staff as healthy and safe as possible.
Remote Learning - Feb. 5-Feb. 10
Beginning tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 5 through Wednesday, Feb. 10, Creek Valley will be closed to in-person, on-campus learning. This also applies to virtual plus learners who may only come to campus for elective courses. Creek Valley students will bring all necessary instructional materials home from school today, Feb. 4. Starting tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 5, students will follow their schedule from home and are expected to be online for class each day. Attendance will continue to be taken during this remote learning period. The school will undergo a deep cleaning to prepare for the return of students.
At this time, in-person, on-campus learning will resume Thursday, Feb. 11. The district will evaluate staffing needs on Tuesday, Feb. 9 and parents will be notified if remote learning is to be extended.
Note: if your student is currently quarantined, they will remain on their scheduled timeline for return and are to remain off campus until their quarantine period is complete.

As our communities continue to experience a rise in COVID-19 cases, we want to remind everyone the importance of following health guidelines such as maintaining social distance, wearing a face mask, washing hands regularly and staying home when feeling ill. It takes all of us doing our part to help curb the spread of COVID-19 and avoid future school closures.
