Creek Valley Students Surprised with Exciting News

Students learn they have been accepted into the Lewisville ISD Collegiate Academy at The Colony High School.

On Jan. 29, eight students from Creek Valley Middle School learned they were accepted into the Lewisville ISD Collegiate Academy at The Colony High School for the 2020-2021 school year. Students were asked to attend a meeting during third period, however, they were surprised when they opened what they thought was a "thank you" card, but instead was a congratulatory music card. The card played the TCHS fight song and notified the students of their acceptance into the academy.

The eight students were brimming with excitement as they called their parents with the big news. Afterward, students received an information packet, took photos and enjoyed refreshments. The LISD Collegiate Academy at The Colony High School gives students the unique opportunity to potentially earn an associate degree — all while still in high school.
