In the past, parents have shared how many different log-ins and systems they manage to get information about their child’s courses. You have spoken and we are listening.
For the 2018-19 school year, all students will access materials in their courses in a system called Canvas. This will be a “one-stop” place to go for information for each course your child is enrolled in.
For this school year, the following will be in all canvas courses:
A welcome module
Course information and expectations (syllabus)
Announcements to inform and communicate (replacing Remind- formerly Remind101)
Calendar for assignment due dates
As the year progresses, more tools will be incorporates into the Canvas courses. Some of these tools will be assignments, discussions, assessments, and other instructional technology tools.
As a parent, you should be able to access your child’s Canvas course beginning the first week of school. Please take into consideration, the first few weeks some students receive schedule changes which may impact the courses you see in your child’s Canvas account.
