Accelerated Reader is a computer-based program that schools may use to monitor reading practice and progress. It helps teachers guide kids to books that are on kids' individual reading levels. Kids take short quizzes after reading a book to check if they've understood it. The Accelerated Reader program at Timber Creek is funded by its PTA.
Can my child only read books from his/her school library to participate in Accelerated Reader?
No. Tons of books are connected to the Accelerated Reader program. And more are being added each day! To see if a book is connected to the Accelerated Reader Program, what reading level the book is, and/or how many potential points a book is worth, VISIT THIS WEBSITE.
Can my child take Accelerated Reader tests at home?
