Southridge Elementary’s Munoz Named Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/TIAA February Student of the Month
Fifth-grader Samantha Munoz is the sixth honoree for the 2018-2019 school year.
Southridge Elementary fifth-grader Samantha Munoz has been selected as Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce’s February Student of the Month — the sixth honoree of the 2018-2019 school year.
As a fifth-grade leader, Munoz enjoys helping her peers whenever she can. Whether it’s assisting with an assignment or being a shoulder to lean on, Munoz is there to serve and she also inspires those around her to be a positive influence in others’ lives. She has a passion for learning and for building relationships with others. Munoz’s teachers say she always walk into Southridge with a smile on her face and that she is one of those students they can’t wait to see each morning.
“It feels good to be named Student of the Month,” Munoz said. “I’m happy I got this opportunity.”
Munoz accepted the award, which is sponsored by TIAA, on March 26 at the Chamber’s partnership luncheon held at Bridlewood Golf Club. Chamber Board Chair-Elect Ann Pape made the presentation. Munoz was joined at the event by her mother Norma as well as Southridge Principal Wyona Ulman and other Southridge staff.
