ELECTION ITEMS
 
LISD Board of Trustees took action to adopt the canvassing of the May 4, 2019 Board of Trustees Election. Details

Angie Cox (place 3), Katherine Sells (place 4) and Jenny Proznik (place 5) were sworn in as LISD Board of Trustees. The Board also approved the election of Katherine Sells as President, Tracy Scott Miller as Vice President and Allison Lassahn as Secretary. 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND TEXAS PLEDGE

PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS

The Board approved the appointments of three new principals for the 2019-2020 school year – Chad Russell, Flower Mound High School; Beri Deister, Lakeview Middle School; Christine Van Scoyoc, Flower Mound Elementary. The district also announced the appointment of Jason Cooper as the new Career and Technical Education (CTE) Executive Director. The four candidates were approved at the May 13 Board of Trustees meeting. Learn more here

AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS

LISD Superintendent Dr. Kevin Rogers presented five LISD seniors with a $500 Student Council Scholarships.

Both Flower Mound and Marcus High School students were recognized for bringing home top honors from the Texas Association of Future Educators annual state Teach Tomorrow Summit. Watch the recognition video here

Donald, Garden Ridge and Liberty Elementary schools were recognized for being receiving the American Student Council Association Honor Student Council Excellence Award from the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Watch the recognition video here

Three Dale Jackson Career Center students were recognized for winning first place in various categories at the 2019 State SkillsUSA Winners competition. Watch the recognition video here

FMHS Technology Club students were recognized for various accomplishments in state, national and international robotics competitions. Watch the recognition video here

 
Technology students from FMHS, HHS and LHS were recognized for successfully dominating the 2019 Texas Technology Student Association State Championship competition. Watch the recognition video here

Students from FMHS, LHS Harmon, HHS and MHS were recognized for various accomplishments in the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest; The Texas Art Education Association Visual Art Scholastic Event; and Congressional Art Competition. Watch the recognition video here.

Students from FMHS, HHS, LHS and MHS were recognized for placing in the top three at the Texas Distributive Education Clubs of America’s 2019 State Career Development Conference. Watch the recognition video here

Approved the authorization to transfer the interest subsidy payment received on Build America Bonds, Series 2010, from the Debt Service Fund to the General Fund. Details
 
Approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Hebron High School Multi-Purpose Facility, Indoor Athletic Center, and Practice Field Re-Design project included in the 2017 Bond Projects. Details

Approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Forest Vista Playground Replacement project included in the 2017 Bond Projects. Details
