Lady Jags Volleyball defeats Ridge Point High School for first UIL Class 6A title
Nov. 26, 2018 — Flower Mound High School (FMHS)'s volleyball team kicked off Thanksgiving Break by winning its first University Interscholastic League (UIL) Class 6A state title in school history — with a 24-26, 25-21, 26-24, 25-22 win over Ridge Point High School (Missouri City, Texas).
“These young ladies have done amazing this whole season of buying in, trusting the process, and becoming one family," FMHS Volleyball Head Coach Jamie Siegel said. "I am beyond proud of them and what they have accomplished this season, on and off the court.”
This championship run also marked FMHS' first-ever UIL state volleyball tournament appearance.
“I have been extremely lucky to have experienced this with such a close team," FMHS senior and setter Reagan Hooper said. "Every game we played for each other and put the team in front of ourselves. We got the chance to experience something that not many teams do, and for that, I’m grateful to my teammates, coaches and fans.”
