Lewisville ISD Names Litchfield as New Assistant Chief of Schools
June 12, 2017 – Lewisville ISD (LISD) announced June 12 the appointment of Lori Litchfield as a new Assistant Chief of Schools, effective the 2017-2018 school year. She was approved at the June 12 Board of Trustees meeting.
“I’m thrilled about this new opportunity,” Litchfield said. “I’m excited to work alongside our elementary schools and all the schools in our district. I’ve grown up professionally with LISD, and look forward to continuing to serve our students, parents, staff and community.”
Litchfield is currently principal at Parkway Elementary, a position she has held since 2012. Prior to joining Parkway, Litchfield served as an assistant principal at Forest Vista Elementary for three years. She also served as the district’s assessment coordinator for three years. In total, Litchfield has nearly 25 years of experience in education.
“Lori Litchfield is a proven leader as both a campus and district-level administrator in our district,” LISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin Rogers said. “We are excited to add her skill set and experience to the team responsible for serving and supporting our campus principals.”
Litchfield will be responsible for providing support and leadership to 20 elementary school principals across the district and will advise on school operations and leadership development. She will join the district’s other assistant chiefs of schools – Rhonda Godbey, Leigh Ann Lewis and Andy Plunkett.
Litchfield is a graduate of the University of North Texas where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She also received a Master of Education from Texas Woman’s University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership through Dallas Baptist University. Litchfield holds certifications in Principal (EC-12), Elementary Self-Contained (1-8) and Elementary Reading (1-8).
