Killian Middle School Parent Notice | Aug. 26

Aug. 26, 2019

Dear Killian Middle School Parents,

As principal, I believe it is important to keep you informed of events that may not have directly impacted your child, but should be shared with you.

Two of our students have reported that last week while waiting on the school bus near the intersection of Lady of the Lake and Holy Grail Dr., they were asked by a man in a black SUV if they wanted a ride to school. Thankfully, our students declined and took action by reporting the incident to their parents and a teacher.

Lewisville Police Department is investigating the incident and will continue to closely patrol the area.

The safety of your child(ren) is my number one priority. I encourage you to visit with your children at home, reminding them to be aware of their surroundings; to walk or ride bikes to or from school in groups; and immediately report anything that causes them concern to a trusted adult. Working together, our parents, staff and administration can help keep our students safe.

We are thankful for and proud of the action our students took in reporting this to the proper authorities. If you have any information pertaining to this report, please contact the LPD at 972.219.3640. You can also contact our School Resource Officer Chris Herring, who is available during school hours and can be reached at 469.948.8328 or by email at

Thank you,

Deanne Angonia
