LISD Adopts Tax Rate for 2024-2025 School Year

LISD adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 4.16 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-2.30

The 2024-25 tax rate includes a $0.0100 decrease in the Interest & Sinking (I&S) tax rate, as well as a $0.0023 decrease in the Maintenance & Operations (M&O) tax rate. The decrease of $0.0123 will mean a savings to the average LISD homeowner of nearly $200 a year.
