The Lewisville Independent School District Board of Trustees met for the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Monday, March 18th.

CONSIDER ACTION ON ITEMS DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION
The Board approved the renewal of 2024-2025 administrative contracts. Details

The Board approved the naming of Will Skelton as the new Chief of High Schools. Details

The Board approved the resolution to declare and designate one LISD real property as surplus property and authorize its advertisement and sale. Details

RECOGNITIONS 
LLISD’s Purchasing Department was recognized for receiving the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) Purchasing Award of Merit. In addition LISD’s Executive Director of Finance Amber Lasseigne earned the RISE Award, given to finance professionals whose early accomplishments distinguish them as future leaders in the profession.

 

SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE
Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp began her update by congratulating LISD student Nivrit Kotturi on his 5th place finish at the Dallas Regional Spelling Bee. She then recapped her recent work with several student, parent and business advisory committees groups, provided an update on the Thank-a-Teacher program, and gave a reminder of our key bond messages. 

 

PUBLIC COMMENT: NON-LEWISVILLE ISD STAKEHOLDERS
Several non-LISD stakeholders provided input regarding diversity in the district and staff dress code.

Chief of Staff Dr. Shawna Miller provided a District Improvement Plan/Long Range Plan Update. Details

Chief Executive Director of Accountability & Evaluation Dr. Sarah Fitzhugh and Chief Learning and Teaching Officer Adrienne Gall presented a Student Learning Update. Details 

Director of Technical Information Services David Koonce presented the Monthly Technology Update. Details

 

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Chief Financial Officer Chief Financial Officer Scott Wrehe presented the Monthly Financial Reports including the Bond Reports and the Monthly Investment Summaries. Details

Chief Learning and Teaching Officer Adrienne Gall, Elementary Science Administrator Renee Marts and Secondary Science Administrator Jennifer Beimer presented the Proclamation of 2024 Instructional Materials Adoption. Details

Matt Garrett reported on the Districtwide Intruder Detection Audit Report Findings. Details
