Five Star Ford Lewisville Donates New Vehicle to TECC-East

Donation set to prepare automotive technology students for modern repairs.

Lewisville ISD's Technology, Exploration and Career Center East campus (TECC-East) recently accepted the generous donation of a brand-new Lincoln Aviator from Ford Motor Company and Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Lewisville.

"Opportunities like this could not be accomplished without our industry partners and Five Star Ford Lewisville and Ford Motor Company do more than just support this program, they support all of Lewisville ISD," LISD Executive Director of Career and Technical Education Jason Cooper said. "This donation is an opportunity to provide our students a vehicle they will work on when they get into the industry. Cars with newer technology and on this level will help our students transition into the field."

"The TECC-East Automotive Technology program is one of the top five ACE programs in the Dallas region," Ford Motor Company Regional Technical Placement Specialist Joe Arreola said. "TECC-East automotive technology students have completed more than 7,000 courses in five years, and it's because of the hard work of the program and the partnership with the dealership, Ford and the instructor that Ford was able to provide this vehicle."

Guests present for the donation included Rachel Perez, Joe Arreola, Jimmy Duciome and Jonathon Cuff from Ford Motor Company, Andrea Ballard, Sue Bowman, Sean Quackenbush and Andi Gallardo from Five Star Ford Lewisville, Lewisville ISD Board President Jenny Proznik, LISD Trustee Michelle Alkhatib, LISD Executive Director of Career and Technical Education Jason Cooper, TECC-East Director Adrian Moreno and TECC-East Automotive Instructors Doug Emry and Brad Dahlgren.
