Fifth-grader is second honoree of 2019-2020 school year.

Madisyn with her principal Rebecca Chirinos and DATCU's Mary Jacoby Peters Colony fifth-grader Madisyn Holloway has been selected as The Colony Chamber of Commerce/DATCU Credit Union October Student of the Month — the second honoree of the 2019-2020 school year.

Holloway is described as a great student who demonstrates excellence in everything she does. She is involved at school and is a member of the Peters Colony Pep Squad and also participates in the Dual Language Program as a Spanish Language Learner. Holloway’s principal says Holloway is incredibly responsible and a friend to everyone. It’s for these reasons and more Holloway was selected as the October Student of the Month.

Holloway accepted the award, which is sponsored by DATCU, on Oct. 17 at the Chamber’s leadership luncheon held at The Colony Annex. DATCU’s Community Relations Coordinator Mary Jacoby and the Chamber's Director of Membership Judy Ensweiler made the presentation. Holloway was joined at the luncheon by her family as well as Peters Colony Principal Rebecca Chirinos.
