B.B. Owen Elementary’s Coby Pait Named The Colony Chamber of Commerce/DATCU Credit Union December Teacher of the Month
Jan. 18, 2019 — Coby Pait of B.B. Owen Elementary has been selected as The Colony Chamber of Commerce/DATCU Credit Union December Teacher of the Month – the fourth honoree of the 2018-2019 school year.
Pait, a special education teacher, was honored because of her dedication and energy given each day to her students and school. She has been described as a teacher who regularly goes above and beyond for her students and her team. Pait has made a lasting impact on her school, community and Lewisville ISD. For these reasons and more, Pait was recently named B.B. Owen’s Teacher of the Year, and her principal said she couldn’t think of a more deserving person for the Chamber’s Teacher of the Month honor.
“It is a huge honor,” Pait said. “It makes me feel like I’ve made a real impact on the students that I’ve had the opportunity to teach at our school.”
Pait was honored with the award, which is sponsored by DATCU Credit Union, on Jan. 17 at the Chamber’s monthly luncheon held at The Colony City Hall Annex. DATCU Community Relations Coordinator Mary Jacoby and Chamber Director of Membership Judy Ensweiler made the presentation. Pait was joined at the event by B.B. Owen Principal Jennifer Spitzer.
