Bonds in Action: TCHS Activity Center Construction Update

Bond-funded facility expected to be complete before 2024-25 school year.

Construction on The Colony High School’s multipurpose activity center is in full swing. Ground broke on the 92,000+ square foot facility in January 2023.

Once completed, the project will become the new home of the TCHS Cougar basketball and volleyball programs. It will also contain training facilities, offices, meeting rooms, and additional amenities for TCHS programs and organizations.

The center is among the last major projects funded by the 2017 bond referendum, which passed with nearly 63 percent of voters in favor of the bond.

Construction is expected to be complete summer 2024.
