Lewisville Elementary Named Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/DATCU December School of the Month

LVES School Dec. 12, 2018 — Lewisville Elementary has been selected as the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/DATCU Credit Union December School of the Month – the fourth honoree of the 2018-2019 school year.

Lewisville Elementary was chosen because of its constant dedication, hard work and energy given toward student success, as well as successfully implementing Lewisville ISD’s Four Cornerstones. The parent education night, first language learners family night and Book Character Read-A-Thon are just a few of the many examples.

“Lewisville Elementary is honored to be recognized as the School of the Month,” Lewisville Elementary Principal Lakshmi Valdes said. “Our staff works diligently every day to nurture and create positive experiences for our students and families.”

Lewisville Elementary Assistant Principal Lisa Burleson and teacher Alicia Rowland accepted the award Dec. 18 at the Chamber’s holiday luncheon held at Bridlewood Golf Club. DATCU Community Relations Coordinator Mary Jacoby and Chamber Board Chair Dan Irvin made the presentation.

DATCU presented the entire Lewisville Elementary staff with its award on campus earlier this month.
