Martin Luther King, Jr. Contest

Good Afternoon,

Please share with your students the attached fliers explaining the Art, Essay, and Photography competition involved with the Dr. King Celebration on Monday, January 18, 2021. This is a wonderful opportunity for your students to learn more about Dr. King’s Legacy and possibly win some prize money. It would be wonderful to have students from each and every campus participate. This could be a class assignment, extra credit, or just for fun.

The theme this year is A Beloved Community: Justice for All While participation is not required, it is very relevant and timely. Please help by encouraging your students to consider entering one of the contest. All of the requirements and parameters are explained in the attached fliers.

This will culminate with a wonderful event celebrating Dr. King and his legacy at Marcus High School on Monday, January 18, 2021. The event details will be decided later due to COVID. The deadline for entry is Friday, December 11, 2020. All entries must be turned in at the Lewisville Administration Building, Room 209. Thank you for your help and support with this event.
