Dallas Cowboys Mascot Energizes Central Elementary
Dallas Cowboys mascot Rowdy surprised Central Elementary third-, fourth- and fifth grade students during a morning assembly in the gym on Sept. 20 to promote the “Fuel Up to Play 60” campaign. The visit was documented by the Dallas Cowboys’ media team, as well as Telemundo 39.
The Cowboys played a video recap of the visit on the big screen during their Oct. 6 game against the Green Bay Packers at AT&T Stadium. Telemundo 39, which went live on Facebook during the assembly, spoke about Rowdy’s visit on its newscast that evening.
“Our students were so excited and so engaged during Rowdy’s visit,” Central Elementary Principal Lea Devers said. “It was an exciting way for them to learn about healthy food choices and fitness. It was a great experience all around.”
