Kicking Off 2022-23: MHS Feeder Pep Rally

MHS Feeder Pattern Staff Converges for Start-of-Year Pep Rally.

Lewisville ISD welcomed back the Marcus High School feeder schools in preparation for the 2022-23 school year by hosting a faculty and staff pep rally at the MHS arena on August 3.

The 12 schools in the feeder pattern were joined by district special education staff. The MHS feeder pattern includes: Marcus High School, the MHS 9th Grade Campus, Briarhill MS, Downing MS, Lamar MS, Bridlewood ES, Flower Mound ES, Heritage ES, Highland Village ES, McAuliffe ES, Prairie Trail ES and Timber Creek ES. District leadership and administration also filled the sidelines of the MHS arena.

Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp and MHS principal Will Skelton addressed the crowd while Marcus High School’s band, cheerleaders and the Marquettes Dance Team provided school spirit and performances throughout the event. The event opened with a presentation of the colors by the MHS Air Force JROTC and the singing of the National Anthem by MHS junior Bella Murtoff.

The event was emceed by MHS Section Leaders, and concluded with the singing of the Marcus Fight Song and Alma Mater.

LISD’s first day of school for the 2022-23 school year is scheduled for Wednesday, August 10.
