Ethridge Elementary teacher Ms. Simione and students Brielle Shaffer and Belle Stephens were recognized at The Colony Chamber luncheon held at Galaxy Theatres Grandscape in The Colony, Texas on Thursday, March 20.
Exceptional Student of the Month - Belle Stephens
Belle has shown great growth and worked very hard academically and socially. This year, Belle has stood out as someone who students feel comfortable asking for help from and her selfless personality offers to help when others are in need. Belle always has a positive outlook on every situation which is contagious to those around her.
Student of the Month - Brielle Shaffer
Brielle is a hardworking student who has made great strides in her academic growth this year. Brielle is committed to her academics and is an advocate for others in the grade level. Brielle has a big heart with strong determination that makes her an excellent role model to others.
Teacher of the Month - Brandi Simione
Ms. Simione came to Ethridge 4 years ago from Florida, transitioning from being a director of student affairs for the University of West Florida to a 4th grade classroom teacher of 9-year-olds, a transition that she made look effortless! Brandi’s background in educating incoming freshmen at the University of West Florida has given her invaluable experience that she now applies in the 5th grade classroom as she prepares them for middle school. Most importantly, Brandi’s love of education and working with children comes from her beloved grandmother, Peggy Crossen. Brandi Simione is a naturally gifted educator who has found her calling in the classroom. She has made a positive impact on Ethridge and the students from her very first year. Each year, she grows in her craft and is truly becoming a master teacher. Ethridge is blessed to have such a caring, passionate educator and champion for our children!
