Lewisville ISD Chief Financial Officer Announces Retirement
Lewisville ISD Chief Financial Officer Mark Youngs announced he will retire from the district in December, 2021. The district will immediately begin the search for his successor.
“Although Mark was only part of our organization for a short period of time, his impact was immediate and significant,” LISD Superintendent of Schools Kevin Rogers said. “We wish him the very best in his retirement with his wife, children and grandchildren.”
Youngs joined LISD in 2020 from Keller ISD, where he served as CFO for 13 years. Prior to his service with Keller, Youngs served as CFO for Killeen ISD and Clifton ISD for six years.
During his career in the private sector, Youngs held the roles of Vice President of Finance and Accounting for the WRS Group, Vice President and CFO for the American Education Corporation, and CFO of Golf USA. He was also a financial consultant for Capital Formation and the Director of Franchise Finance for Pennzoil/Jiffy Lube.
"It has been a pleasure to be part of Lewisville ISD, and to work with the many exceptional people in this organization,” Youngs said. “I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to serve several outstanding public school systems, and I am looking forward to spending more time with my favorite school-aged kids - my grandchildren.”
Youngs received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Brigham Young University and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon. His areas of expertise include benchmarking, strategic planning, financial projections, cash management and risk management.
