Castle Hills Elementary’s Hunnicutt Named Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/TIAA March Student of the Month
March 26, 2019 — Castle Hills Elementary fifth-grader Brooke Hunnicutt has been selected as Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce’s March Student of the Month — the seventh honoree of the 2018-2019 school year.
Hunnicutt is a straight-A student and always puts forth her best effort. A fifth-grade leader, she is someone her peers can count on as Hunnicutt never shies from helping in both academic and non-academic areas. Hunnicutt is an active member of Breanna’s Buddies and also shares her vocal talents as a member of Castle Hills Elementary’s Snapping Dragons Honor Choir. She always has a positive attitude and smile on her face, and her principal Donna Taylor says Hunnicutt exemplifies Castle Hills’ 8 Great Expectations. Beyond her scholastic accomplishments, Hunnicutt is also described as a fantastic big sister who loves spending time with her family.
“It’s an amazing feeling to be recognized for something that you really should be doing every day and something that should be seen on a daily basis,” Hunnicutt said.
Hunnicutt accepted the award, which is sponsored by TIAA, on March 26 at the Chamber’s partnership luncheon held at Bridlewood Golf Club. Chamber Board Chair-Elect Ann Pape made the presentation. Hunnicutt was joined at the event by her family as well as CHE Principal Donna Taylor.
