Castle Hills Elementary Named Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/DATCU Credit Union March School of the Month
March 26, 2019 — Castle Hills Elementaryhas been selected as the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/DATCU Credit Union March School of the Month – the seventh honoree of the 2018-2019 school year.
Castle Hills was chosen because of its constant dedication, hard work and energy given toward student success, as well as successfully implementing Lewisville ISD’s Four Cornerstones. The success of the Great Expectations program led to a video feature by the organization on how Castle Hills incorporates the GE teaching methodology in the classroom. CHE has also exemplified community engagement and student experience in many ways with recent events such as Read Across the Castle, Science Night, Cultural Night and College and Career Day. Castle Hills Elementary continuously goes above and beyond to ensure students thrive in a future they create, which is why CHE is the March School of the Month.
"I am very honored to accept recognition as the March Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce School of the Month on behalf of the teachers of Castle Hills," CHE Principal Donna Taylor said. "Castle Hills Elementary has very hard working teachers doing everything they can to meet the individual needs of their students. Although we do not want for accolades, being recognized is always highly appreciated. Thank you Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce."
Taylor accepted the award March 26 at the Chamber’s partnership luncheon held at Bridlewood Golf Club. DATCU Community Relations Coordinator Mary Jacoby and Chamber Board Chair-Elect Ann Pape made the presentation.
