Jones Named Principal of DeLay Middle School
Lewisville ISD announced on May 2 the appointment of Dr. Victor Jones as the new principal of DeLay Middle School. He has served as assistant principal of Lakeview and Killian Middle Schools in LISD since 2018.
“I am humbled and honored to join the Farmer family as the new principal at DeLay Middle School,” Dr. Jones said. “I look forward to serving the community and building a love for learning alongside an incredible staff.”
Dr. Jones is entering his 20th year in education, and his fourth year as part of the LISD family. He started his educational career in 2002 at Duncanville ISD as a teacher at Byrd Middle School. From 2007-11, Dr. Jones joined Crowley ISD as an assistant principal at Stevens Middle School and principal at Walker Intermediate. He was principal of the Fellowship Christian Academy College Preparatory School in Dallas and Director of Career and Technical Education for Responsive Education Solutions in Lewisville. Dr. Jones moved to Irving ISD as assistant principal at Lady Bird Johnson Middle School and Nimitz High School before joining LISD in 2018.
“Dr. Jones is a dedicated and student-focused leader,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lori Rapp said. “He brings a wealth of experience to the role and I’m certain the Delay students and staff will continue to thrive under his leadership.
Dr. Jones received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Information Systems from Tennessee State University, a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership and a Doctor of Educational Administration both from the University of North Texas. His certifications include Superintendent (EC-12), Principal (EC-12) and Technology Applications (Teacher EC-12).
