2023-2024 REGISTRATION:
McKamy Counselors will meet with students this month as students make course selections for the 2023-2024 school year. If you missed the McKamy Parent/Guardian Registration Meeting last Monday, or would like the information from the meeting, click this link: https://www.smore.com/e9xjh.

The FM9 Counselors (Ms. Lansdell and Ms. Sartor) are excited to begin registration for the 2023-24 school year! They are opening registration on January 24 and will host the Jag Expo at FM9 that same evening from 5-8pm. Please be sure to read through the 23-24 Registration Timeline. FM9 Counselors will follow up with specific registration information and materials. Everything will be located in one place in order to simplify the process for you. FM9 Counselors will meet with McKamy 8thgraders on Wednesday, Jan. 25th during Advisory. On February 7th they will return to McKamy to meet with students individually.

6th and 7th Grade PTA Spring Social: Let's light up the night at the 6th/7th Grade Social on Friday, February 3rd from 4:15-6:00pm! This glow party will include DJ, pizza, drinks and snacks. If you did not pre-purchase your Social ticket through Membership Toolkit, we will be selling tickets for $5 cash during A/B/C lunches Wednesday 2/1-Friday 2/3. Please do not send ticket money prior to those dates. As a reminder, parents must be present for pick-up following the event. Students will not be dismissed to walk or bike home from the Social.
McKamy PTA’s Spring Scholastic Book Fair is February 27-March 3. The Book Fair coincides with McKamy’s Spring Open House on Tuesday, February 28, 6:00-7:30pm.

PE AND ATHLETIC WEAR SALE: Wednesday, February 1, 2023 - April 30, 2023 McKamy Middle School will have a sale on boys and girls PE and Athletic t-shirts and shorts. This is a great time to purchase an extra pair of gym clothes for your McKamy student. If you have an incoming 6th grader who will attend McKamy next year, this is also a great time to purchase your student’s PE wear for next year.
The sale price for the Dri-fit t-shirt is $20 (regular $25) and the shorts are $15 (regular $20). Send cash or check payable to McKamy Middle School to the attention of Coach Dana Manning or your child’s PE/Athletics Coach. Email ManningD@lisd.net with any questions.
MCKAMY YEARBOOKS:
Time is running out to purchase a 2023 McKamy yearbook. The deadline to purchase a yearbook and/or 8th grade dedication is Friday, January 27th. Please note: NO BOOKS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AFTER THAT DATE. The cost of the yearbook is $40. Names can be printed on the yearbook for $6. If you are unsure if you already purchased a yearbook this year, please check your emails for a confirmation from Balfour, the publishing company. If you cannot find a confirmation receipt, you most likely did not purchase a yearbook yet since all purchases are online. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Warriner at warriners@lisd.net.
8th grade parents can also purchase and create a dedication to their students. Those dedications must be purchased by January 27 and designed/submitted by February 3.Because the final page count for the yearbook is due on January 28, no extra dedications may be purchased past January 27. The cost of the dedication DOES NOT include a yearbook, which must be purchased separately. The costs for dedications are:
