Litchfield Named New Chief Schools Officer
Lewisville ISD announced May 17 the appointment of Lori Litchfield as the district’s new Chief Schools Officer.
“I’m thrilled about this new opportunity,” Litchfield said. “I’m excited to work alongside an incredible group of leaders and all the schools in our district. I’ve grown up professionally with LISD, and look forward to continuing to serve our students, parents, staff and community.”
Litchfield is currently Chief of Elementary Schools, a position she has held since 2017, where she oversees and provides support for 20 elementary schools across the district, as well as advises on school operations and leadership development.
Litchfield held the position of principal at Parkway Elementary for five years and as assistant principal at Forest Vista Elementary for three years before joining district leadership. She also served as a district assessment coordinator for three years and has served in various teaching capacities at several campuses within the district. She has nearly 30 years of experience in public education, all of which have been in LISD.
“Lori Litchfield is a proven leader in our district,” LISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lori Rapp said. “We are excited about the perspectives she will bring to our leadership team.”
In this role, Litchfield will oversee Counseling and Social Work Services, Special Education, Professional Learning and Campus Support Services, in addition to the elementary, middle and high school chiefs.
Litchfield is a graduate of the University of North Texas where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She also received a Master of Education from Texas Woman’s University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership through Dallas Baptist University.
