LISD Sept. 13 Board Meeting Recap
The Board led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge.
CONSIDER ITEMS DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION
The Board approved the appointment of Cristie Liles to be Lewisville ISD's Athletic Director, recommended by the administration. Read more about Liles's appointment here.
RECOGNITIONS
ABM presented a $50,000 donation to Lewisville ISD and an additional $50,000 donation to the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation.
Flower Mound High School and Marcus High School Texas Association of Future Educator (TAFE) students were recognized for their state and national accomplishments.
Castle Hills, Highland Village, Liberty, Southridge and Timber Creek elementary schools, as well as Forestwood Middle School, were all recognized for being named a National PTA School of Excellence.
LISD Director of Fine Arts Amanda Drinkwater was recognized for being named Texas Bandmasters Association’s 2020 Bandmaster of the Year.
