SUMMER HOURS FOR LISD FACILITIES

Beginning May 31 through July 23, all LISD campuses and facilities will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m Monday through Thursday. Campuses and facilities will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of the July 4 holiday.

APRIL 26 BAD WEATHER DAY

As a reminder, Monday, April 26 is a bad weather day.  If the district does not use the bad weather day, the day will be a student and staff holiday. For the most up-to-date 2020-21 academic calendar, visit LISD.net/calendar.

SAFETY REMINDER

As the weather begins to consistently warm up, we thought it was a good time to touch base with our families to remind students to be vigilant when outside around campus or in your neighborhoods. I encourage you to visit with your children at home, reminding them to be aware of their surroundings; to walk or ride bikes to or from school in groups; and immediately report anything that causes them concern to a trusted adult. Working together, our parents, staff and administration can help keep our students safe.

UPCOMING ELECTIONS

Early voting begins April 19 and continues through April 27, and Election Day is May 1 with many municipal and school board races on ballots. Regardless of how you vote or who you vote for, it’s important to advocate for the issues in which you believe and for your voice to be heard! If you’d like to do some research, find out what’s on the ballot or see if you’re registered to vote, you can find a list of nonpartisan resources at lisd.net/vote, including what’s on the ballot for LISD’s top six local races.

As always, thank you for your continued support of LISD!
