Felicia Curry Named Principal of Vickery Elementary School

Lewisville ISD announces appointment of Felicia Curry as the new principal of Vickery Elementary.

Lewisville ISD announced the appointment of Felicia Curry as the new principal of Vickery Elementary. Curry currently serves as an assistant principal at The LISD STEM Academy at Hedrick Middle School.

“I am honored to continue to serve in this great district as the new principal at Vickery Elementary,” Ms. Curry said. “I look forward to continuing to build a love for learning for the students in this wonderful community.”

Mrs. Curry began her career in public education in LISD in 2005, teaching various elementary grade levels before moving to central administration as a math facilitator in the LISD Learning and Teaching Department in 2014. She went back to the campus in 2017 as an Assistant Principal at Camey Elementary, moved to Highland Village Elementary as an Assistant Principal in 2021, and then the LISD STEM Academy at Hedrick Middle School as an Assistant Principal in 2022. 

During her time as a campus administrator she also served as the Principal of Early Childhood and Extended School Year Summer Programs at Peters Colony Elementary, as well as an Elementary Assistant Principal Mentor for future campus administrators. 

“I look forward to watching Vickery continue to grow under Ms. Curry’s leadership,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lori Rapp said. “I know she will be a great champion for the Voyager community.”

Curry received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and her Masters of Education from Texas Woman's University.
