Lewisville ISD (LISD) announced June 13 the appointment of Jaime Clark as the district’s new Chief of Elementary Schools. She takes over for Lori Litchfield, who was named Chief Schools Officer in May.
“I’m thrilled about this new opportunity in my professional career,” Clark said. “I’m excited to work with an incredible group of leaders and the elementary schools in our district. I look forward to continuing to serve our students, parents, staff and community.”
Clark most recently served as principal at Castle Hills Elementary, a position she has held since 2019. Clark began her public education career in 2001 where she served as a math teacher and head volleyball coach at Burnet High School. She went on to teach high school math in Rockdale, Midlothian and Midland ISD from 2003-2011 before she transitioned to campus administration.
Clark was hired as Associate Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at Permian High School in 2011 and was an Assistant Principal for two years at Westlake High School from 2013-15. In 2015, Clark was named Principal at A.M. Story Intermediate in Palestine ISD where served as the campus leader before moving to LISD in 2019.
Throughout her professional career, Clark has led her campuses in Robotics, Project Lead the Way, Innovative Inventions, Imagine Mars, Nearpod Virtual Field Trips, and other innovative programs to develop students into 21st century learners. She has elevated parent engagement numbers by participating in numerous community outreach programs. She has also successfully implemented a TEA transformation grant, LISTO grant, TACE, and Technology Lending grant into campuses.
“Ms. Clark is a dedicated and proven leader in our district,” LISD Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp said. “She will bring tremendous experience and perspectives to central administration.”
In this role, Clark will be responsible for providing support and leadership to 21 elementary school principals across the district, as well as elementary summer school where she will advise on school operations and leadership. She will join the district’s other Chiefs of Schools - Andy Plunkett, Chantell Upshaw and Rhonda Godbey.
A two-time graduate of Tarleton State University, Clark received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports/Health Studies along with a Mathematics minor while receiving a master’s degree in Education Administration. Clark also earned her superintendent certification from the University of Texas - Tyler in 2019.
