The Board met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Jan. 9th.

The Lewisville Independent School District Board of Trustees met for the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Monday, January 9th. Signs made by students across the district were displayed during the meeting to recognize School Board Appreciation Month.

Central Elementary students led the Pledge of Allegiance.

RECOGNITIONS
The Hebron High School Band was recognized for their success at this year’s state contest. 

SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE
As a part of her update, Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp played a video to recognize the board in honor of School Board Appreciation Month. She also highlighted several campus events including Garden Ridge ES being recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community at Work®, Lakeland ES receiving a redesigned Teacher’s Lounge thanks to Ashley Furniture and more.

PUBLIC COMMENT: LEWISVILLE ISD STAKEHOLDERS

  • LHS students thanked the Board for their work.
  • A community member requested a committee be formed to discuss post-graduation support for students with disabilities. 
  • A parent presented concerns regarding updates to the public comment system.
