The Colony High School’s New Indoor Activity Center Opens for Game Day
Construction on The Colony High School’s indoor activity center has been completed, just in time for the first home volleyball matches of the season.
“This new facility is such a wonderful blessing for our students, staff and community,” TCHS Principal Dr. Tim Baxter said. “It is a beautiful new addition and will be something our students enjoy and take pride in forever. We want to thank the voters, our LISD Administration and the Board of Trustees for all the support to make this project possible!”
The new 92,520 square-foot facility features six basketball goals, one full basketball court, two half basketball courts, two full volleyball competition courts, three cross volleyball courts, six classrooms, a training room, a weight room, an area for the TCHS golf program and storage space.
Lewisville ISD voters passed a bond referendum in 2017, with nearly 63 percent of voters in favor of the bond. Also included in the bond package was an indoor activity center for Hebron, which opened in February of 2021.
