“Better Together: Making the Dream a Reality” 

Lewisville ISD is proud to continue partnering with MLK of North Texas to host the 33^rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Art, Essay and Photography contests. The theme of the 2026 art, essay, photography and 3D sculpture/ceramics contests is “Better Together: Making the Dream a Reality.”

Official contest rules are below. Winners will be announced prior to the MLK Celebration event.

Student winners of the art, essay, photography and 3D sculpture/ceramics contests will be recognized at the 33^rd annual MLK Day Celebration event on January 19, 2026 at Marcus High School.

Lewisville ISD staff attending the celebration event can apply to receive one hour of trade credit. Register before the event using the link below:

This year, LISD and the MLK of North Texas Committee partnered with CCA to accept donations for the CCA Food Pantry.
