Every student’s goals, schedule, and learning style are unique, and their pathway should be too. Lewisville ISD offers distinct virtual and hybrid options that gives students the opportunity to personalize their learning journey, allowing them to balance coursework, extracurriculars, work, family commitments, or accelerated academic plans.LISD has offered virtual courses for many years, but new legislation allows the district to expand its offerings beginning the fall of 2026. Full-Time Online
All 8 Credits Virtual (9th grade only for 2026-27)(per school year)
Students entering their freshman year for the 2026-27 year are eligible for this model beginning the 2026-27 school year.
Open to Texas students, this program provides a complete path to graduation through 100 percent online coursework (all eight annually required credits) facilitated by Lewisville ISD. Students must be enrolled in LISD for this option.
Free for eligible Texas students, this option is ideal for self-motivated learners who want to study on their own time while meeting course deadlines. Accelerated options and summer courses may have fees.
Students follow structured lessons with clear pacing, support from a certified teacher, and personalized academic guidance to ensure continued progress and success.

Hybrid Online
Combination of In-Person & Virtual Courses
Available to current and new in-district OR out-of-district LISD students, the Hybrid model combines online learning with on-campus experiences. Students must be enrolled in LISD for this option. Courses are free if taken under a typical course load. Accelerated options and summer courses may have fees.
