Class of 2026 Valedictorians
Class of 2026 VALEDICTORIANS

Flower Mound High School's Sohan Kathari
Bluebonnet Elementary | Shadow Ridge Middle School
Carnegie Mellon University
I plan to major in Computer Science with a minor in Math. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I plan to continue my education and go into the field of AI research. In my sophomore year, I joined the FMHS Speech and Debate team. Competing in speech and debate competitions for the past three years has been incredibly rewarding for me, both through competitive success and the public speaking skills I have developed that I will undoubtedly use in my future. Most importantly, the activity has shown me that not everything in life can be prepared for, and sometimes, you just have to wing it.

Hebron High School's Matthew Holloway
Castle Hills Elementary | Killian Middle School
The University of Texas at Austin
I will be attending the Canfield Business Honors Program as a McCombs Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin. I will be initially majoring in Business Honors and, as of now, plan on going down the Investment Banking track. In high school, playing football while taking advanced classes enabled me to get the best of character and player development while receiving the strongest possible foundation for my college future. I am incredibly thankful for my coaches, teammates, teachers, and peers for supporting me while balancing both.

Lewisville High School's Gia Bao Nguyen
Parkway Elementary | Hedrick Middle School
The University of Texas at Austin

I will be attending the University of Texas at Austin and majoring in Biology, on a pre-med track. The best decision I made around my time in LISD was building relationships—with my friends, my teachers, and even my family. It wasn’t until later in my journey here at LISD that I truly opened myself up to connecting more deeply with others, but by doing so, I formed irreplaceable bonds and met some of the greatest people I could ever ask to have in my corner.

Marcus High School's Venkatesan Giridhar
Prairie Trail Elementary School | Lamar Middle School
The University of Texas at Austin

I plan to major in physics and eventually become a professor and researcher. The best choice I made for my education and future was prioritizing my mental health by getting enough sleep each night and avoiding overworking myself. Maintaining a healthy balance allowed me to stay focused, motivated, and productive without burning out.

The Colony High School's Cali Helterbrand
College Street Elementary School | DeLay Middle School
Texas A&M University
I plan on majoring in biochemistry on a pre-law track. I want to go to law school and become a medical malpractice attorney! The best decision I made for my education during my time in LISD was choosing to take advantage of the AP courses offered. Not only did I get to take the exams to earn college credits, but I also met dedicated peers who were eager to learn and encouraged me to get involved in organizations around school. I met some of my best friends in those classrooms and wouldn’t go back to change a thing.

Class of 2026 Salutatorians

Class of 2026 SALUTATORIANS

Flower Mound High School's Niket Surabhi
Bluebonnet Elementary School | Shadow Ridge Middle School
The University of Texas at Austin
I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering and hope to become a chief or lead engineer at some company. The best choice I made for my education and future was taking AP Physics I and II in my junior year. I met many friends and a teacher who made being in his class enjoyable. But most importantly, it was the first time I truly saw a strong connection between math and the real world, and it is the reason I am even on the path of Mechanical Engineering.

Hebron High School's Ethan Shea
Castle Hills Elementary | Killian Middle School
Harvard College
I hope to study Molecular & Cellular Biology or Chemical & Physical Biology on the pre-med track to become a physician. The best choices I made at Hebron were the classes I chose to take, despite knowing that they would be challenging. The people that I connected with in these classes provided me with support, academically and personally, that I will forever be grateful for. These courses also introduced me to my favorite teachers, Mr. Ryan Woodward and Mrs. Kerri Boyd, with whom I’ve been privileged to build lasting, supportive relationships.

Lewisville High School's Brooke Johnke
Vickery Elementary School | Hedrick Middle School
University of Texas at Arlington
I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering. I hope to have a meaningful career in the aerospace industry. In high school, I made sure to surround myself with people and classmates who made me a better person. By following their examples and expecting more out of myself, I held myself to a higher standard both inside and outside of school.

Marcus High School's Veda Ganesan
Heritage Elementary School | Briarhill Middle School
Cornell University, Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management
I am majoring in Applied Economics and Management as a Meinig Family National Scholar. In the future, I hope to work in venture capital, become a CEO/CFO, and chair the Federal Reserve. Founding DFW Gen Green was the best choice I made during my time in LISD: my nonprofit led environmental projects supported by the school board, facilities teams, and district superintendent who didn't brush off a high schooler’s grandiose ideas. I presented to the board, refined models with the district CFO, and surveyed LISD stakeholders. LISD provided me with a valuable opportunity to understand what it means to lead with impact and represent your community.

The Colony High School's Chloe Park
B.B. Owen Elementary, Rockbrook Elementary | Griffin Middle School
Dartmouth College
I am majoring in Biology to become a Dermatologist. The best choice I made during my time in LISD was joining Academic Decathlon my junior year! The endless studying was a struggle, but it challenged me in so many ways. AcDec helped me grow more confident in my public speaking, taught me to manage my time better, and most importantly gave me the chance to make amazing friendships and memories!
