National Institute for STEM Education

Lewisville ISD has partnered with the National Institute for STEM Education in the design of the STEM Academy program. The National Institute offers a national teaching certificate for STEM teachers. Additionally, the National Institute recognizes campuses that have shown excellence in their ability to implement STEM Education.

Lewisville ISD employs more nationally certified STEM teachers than any other school district  in the nation.

In 2018, Lewisville ISD became the first district in the State of Texas with a nationally recognized STEM program for elementary students.

Lewisville ISD STEM Academy campuses are committed to earning their national recognition during their first year of operation.
