Application Process
- Attend 2026 Cohort Information Meeting
- Monday, January 21st at 6:00 p.m.
- Technology, Exploration and Career Center West (TECC-West)
- 1250A ROUND GROVE ROAD LEWISVILLE, TX 75067
- Complete LISD DUAL CREDIT FIREFIGHTER APPLICATION
- Applications will open 1/15/26 and are due Thursday, January 29th at 5:00 p.m.
- Will be reviewed for grades, attendance, discipline, and teacher/counselor recommendations
- Includes a required essay - Why I Want to Enroll in the LISD Firefighter Program
- Notification to applicant of invitation to continue in the selection process by Friday, February 13th
- Application to NCTC Firefighter Program by (TBD).
- NCTC Application via the Apply Texas application process
- If demand for the program exceeds the space, applicants will be selected based on GPA and teacher recommendations.
- Notification to applicant of acceptance into the Dual Credit Firefighter Program
- Mandatory attendance at an advisement meeting with course instructors and parents to be held Thursday February 19th @ TECC-W at 6:00 p.m. (1250A W Round Grove Rd, Lewisville, TX 75067) Student & parent/guardian need to be in attendance.
