Instructional Materials Adoption
Notice of Opportunity for Public Preview of Instructional Materials: Reading Language Arts K-5
The State Board of Education (SBOE) has approved instructional materials for review through the Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) cycle to support the implementation of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for K–5 Reading Language Arts (RLA). LISD is currently going through an adoption process to review and select a High Quality Instructional Material (HQIM) for RLA classrooms.
As part of the process, all LISD community members are invited to attend our Public Preview and Feedback Community Day to explore the materials and share their feedback.

- Location: LISD Bolin Professional Learning Center - Entrance E
- Time: 8:00am - 7:00pm
Please be sure to bring a valid photo ID to access the building.
Opportunities to preview the materials online are also available. We invite you to provide your feedback online by following the steps below:

Step 1: Use the Elementary Reading Language Arts (K-5) (opens in a new window) document to preview the online materials. Follow the instructions unique to each publisher.

Step 2: Complete the Elementary RLA Community Feedback Form (K-5) (opens in a new window) for each publisher reviewed.

Step 3: Feedback is due by Wednesday, November 4, 2026
