Devices are configured to protect students while supporting high-quality teaching and learning.

These principles guide age-appropriate access, supervision, instruction, and parent partnership across grade bands.

Restricted unstructured use No device use during recess, lunch, rewards, free time, or other unsupervised times.

Traditional experiences remain central Hands-on activities, manipulatives, physical writing, and peer conversation stay emphasized.

Digital citizenship instruction Curriculum is taught at all grade levels for safe, ethical, responsible digital use.

TEKS-aligned purposeful design Digital production and critical thinking are prioritized over passive consumption.

Accessible and accommodated learning Devices support individual accommodations so every learner can engage with curriculum.

Transparent parent partnerships Families gain a clear view into daily learning and can partner closely with educators.

Settings are intentionally differentiated by developmental level and instructional need. All school-issued devices are filtered on and off campus.

Gaming sites, FaceTime, and iMessages (text) are disabled on learning devices.
Parental controls are available for parent customization of additional restrictions.
Personal devices, including cell phones, are restricted from bell to bell for all students.
Teachers are expected to use Apple Classroom to monitor student use of digital learning devices.
