Project SEARCH
Project SEARCH is an intensive nine-month internship program for LISD students with disabilities who are over age 18 and in their last year of high school eligibility. The two licensed Lewisville Project SEARCH programs are collaborative partnerships between LISD, Texas Workforce Vocational Rehabilitation, Quest Employment Services, and one of the two community business partners, City of Lewisville or Gaylord Texan.
Students are accepted into the Project SEARCH program through a selection committee process after completing a rigorous application, interview, and hands-on assessment in the Spring semester preceding the school year for which they are applying. All applicants must be eligible for services through Texas Workforce Solutions Voc Rehab.
The shared goal of all partners is competitive employment utilizing the skills built through the Project SEARCH program.
