LISD Career Out for Students

Lewisville ISD's Career Out job shadowing program is a PERFECT way for juniors and seniors in LISD to get a sneak peek at careers that interest them. Career Out allows students to visit businesses in person to see the world of work in action.  Students get to explore careers, ask questions, and ultimately get to make more informed decisions about their future studies and career paths.

LISD's Career Out will take place on Wednesday, March 4 from 8:30-11:30 AM.
Students provide their own transportation to and from the job site. You will be at the job site for the entire 3 hours.

The link to sign up will not work until registration opens. 
Registration for Seniors begins at 7 AM on Thursday, January 22.
Registration for Juniors begins at 7 AM on Friday, January 23.

Students must currently be enrolled in Lewisville ISD to participate.

Student requirements:

• Registration is first-come, first serve. Do not register before your given day.
• Attend a training session prior to Career Out. (Training dates/times will be sent to those who have a confirmed shadowing spot.)
• Return parent acknowledgment/permission slip - must be signed by parent and student regardless of student age
• Report to class for 3rd and 4th periods after job shadowing; Class periods 1 and 2 will receive an excused absence, provided you meet criteria required to participate
• Provide online feedback at the conclusion of the event via survey
• The student registration deadline is Friday, January 30.

Upon signing up, you will be asked for your contact information (including student LISD email address) as well as an emergency contact email and phone number for your parent or guardian.  
Please be prepared with that information when registering.

Seniors who participate will be invited to submit a scholarship application for a MacBook Air.  Three lucky seniors will win thanks to sponsor, DATCU!
