Lewisville ISD is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students. The health and well-being of our students and staff is our highest priority.

Communicable Disease Guidelines, (including COVID 19)

Lewisville ISD adheres to the Texas Administrative Code, Title 25 Health Services, Section 97.7 - Diseases Requiring Exclusion from School, which includes COVID 19.  

The most basic requirement for any communicable disease is to keep your child home until:

• Fever free, (less than 100 degrees), for 24 hours without the use of fever suppressing medications, i.e., acetaminophen, ibuprofen.
• Vomiting and diarrhea free for 24 hours without the use of diarrhea or vomiting suppressing medications, i.e., Imodium, Pepto-Bismol, ondansetron.
