Through the employment of scientific inquiry, utilization of local ecosystems, and the development of enduring collaborations, the mission of Environment Education is to empower students to solve problems and inform decisions through interactive place-based learning and in addition, to provide future LISD graduates with knowledge of environmental interactions, community resources, and social implications that will lead to sustainable living solutions for the future.
