YES! Meals for any child age 18 and under is completely free and no cost to you.

son completamente gratis y sin costo para usted. 

Any child age 18 and under. They do not need to be a LISD student. Enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21 are also eligible for free meals.

No. Identification, school IDs, birth certificates and report cards are not needed as long as the child is under 18.

Sometimes! For the 2024 summer, the Child Nutrition department will be utilizing a waiver released by the TDA to allow for meals to be taken "grab-and-go" when there is a heat advisory or air quality warning. The Child Nutrition staff on site will let you know if meals can be taken offsite or if they need to be consumed onsite. 

Yes, your child will need to be present. All meals must be consumed onsite and cannot be taken home with you.
