GT is and was one of my favorite classes in both elementary and middle school with so many memories. In elementary school, GT was very hands-on with many fun projects where I learned skills that I'm going to use throughout the rest of my life. We had research, arts and crafts, and personal projects exploring ourselves plus our futures.

In elementary school we mainly focused on learning how to research subjects and helpful processes used in real life. In middle school, GT is combined with ELA. You get to learn everything else you learn in ELA but more challenging with fun aspects combined into it. I’ve learned how to properly format citations and have always had great relations with my middle school teachers. Also in middle school we read more interesting books and get more time playing fun activities with challenging subjects than regular ELA.

Some of my favorite memories of middle school and elementary school come from GT. We once did a very fun project in elementary where we used the design process to plan and build a theme park. We watched informative videos about theme parks, sketched plans and actually built them using recycled materials. My favorite memory from middle school GT has actually not finished. For our end of 8th grade project we are doing a giant GT class written anthology where every person contributes. Everyone submits 2 pieces that are brand new or were made this year. After middle school I have plans to go to The Collegiate Academy at The Colony high school where I will earn my associates degree while earning my high school diploma. GT has really prepared me for this with all the practice researching, writing, and thinking outside the box.
