LISD Announces Fiaccone as Principal of Briarhill Middle School

Lewisville ISD announced this evening the appointment of Meredith Fiaccone as the new principal of Briarhill Middle School. Fiaccone has served as assistant principal at Briarhill since 2024 and brings more than two decades of educational experience — the majority within Lewisville ISD — to her new role.

"I am deeply honored to serve as principal of Briarhill Middle School," said Fiaccone. "This community is filled with talented, dedicated educators and incredible students, and I am committed to building on the strong foundation already in place as we continue to grow together."

Fiaccone began her career in education in 2005 as a special education teacher in Irving ISD, where she also served as Dean of Students at Jack E. Singley Academy High School. She joined LISD in 2015 as an ESL Secondary Liaison across multiple campuses before moving into roles as an Instructional Data Specialist and SDI Instructor at Killian Middle School. She transitioned into campus administration in 2021 as assistant principal at Killian before joining Briarhill in that same capacity in 2024. At Briarhill, she has been instrumental in strengthening campus climate through the Safe and Civil Schools framework, designing student recognition programs, and supporting the instructional and operational systems that keep students and staff at the center.

"Meredith is a leader who knows this community and is deeply invested in it," said LISD Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp. "Her broad experience across campuses, grade levels, and student populations — combined with the relationships she has already built at Briarhill — make her the right person to lead this campus. We are thrilled to see her step into this role."

Fiaccone holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Texas Christian University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She has been recognized as BMS Staff of the Month and was named Teacher of the Year at Austin Middle School in 2010.
